The postgraduate master course Resilient Spaces addresses the need for professionals able to provide effective responses in the fields of humanitarian emergencies and climate change (natural disasters, climate crisis, man-made conflicts, and pandemic). Today during an emergency crisis or in adaptation processes to climate change, architects and planners have a minimum role in the decision processes. This leads to a poor understanding of the built environment with the definition of spaces with low urban and living quality. Architects and planners must learn how to make their voices heard. On the other hand, International organizations and national governments start to demand better architecture and planning solutions. They are realizing that a better architectural response would solve several future social problems and will decrease the economical investments for climate crisis and emergency relief for future catastrophes.
